Zero energy cooking

The Clever Bag is based on the old Hay Box cooking method. The basic principle is to boil the food for a short time in a pot with a tight-fitting lid. Remove from the stove/hob and place the pot into a Clever Bag, by using an insulating material, the food will continue to cook slowly in its heat for several hours, until it is ready to eat.

How it works

It’s simple! Put your ingredients into a pan and bring to the boil.

Take the pan off the stove and put into the Clever Bag.

Put its hat on and pull the cord.

Leave to self-cook, for maximum 7/8 hours.

Use zero fuel. Use free thermal energy instead.

Medium Clever Bag - zero energy slow cooker

The Clever Bags continue to slow-cook your food using zero energy. This is because of the thermal filling.

It is also known as thermal, fireless, or retained heat cooking. Haybox cooking can save energy, fuel, and time, as well as prevent burning or overcooking of food.

It is especially useful for cooking soups, stews, porridge, and other liquid-based dishes.
